Die-casting is a casting process in which liquid metal is shot under pressure into divided metallic mould halves. The process is highly suitable for the production of parts with an excellent surface finish with complex cross sections made from materials that are brittle such as aluminium, zinc, magnesium, copper, lead and tin.
